Are there any type of compatibility issues with transfering and sharing files between the two?
Do you mean Microsoft Works?mohair_chair

If so, there are lots of incompatibilities between the two. The Works spreadsheet is the very poor and pathetic stepchild of Excel. It's only useful for very simple things.

Yes, MS Works. So if one of our computers in the office only has Works and we try and share files its not gonna work right?? Why would MS have incompatibilities? I can see less features but incompatibilities I dont get.

I can't explain the details. I just know that Works cannot deal with a lot of my Excel files. Excel can read Works files just fine. I got Works with a laptop I bought--I'd much rather have Excel.
