LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- The 1980s television series "Knight Rider" and its crime-busting, talking car are revving up for the big screen.

The drama starred David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, owner of the high-tech Pontiac Trans Am known as K.I.T.T. The car's voice was supplied by William Daniels.

The film is planned as an action comedy, Daily Variety reported Monday.

This time, Hasselhoff will serve as executive producer for the Revolution Studios project, the trade paper said. Glen A. Larson, who created the TV show, is among the producers.

It's not yet known who will star in the film.
Oh, the humanity. (sob). nmpurplepaul

Hasselhoff survived a motorcycle crash a couple of months back. Mayby there was some brain damage. He tried to revive it with a TV movie and series a couple of years ago that died after a few weeks. I guess we can only hope he blows his Batwatch Royalties on this one and is forced into doing Soft Porn and singing tours of Austria to make a living ;-)

I know some people on the board aren't big on them, but this one may be worthy of a Boycott ;-)

I recently saw Hasselfoff on Graham Norton's show. He's starting to look more like Sigfried and/or Roy with each surgery.
These will remedy the situationbootsec99

Just think, your own personal support car with 24/7 availability. Extra wheels, bikes, food, cold recovery drinks, etc. And if some jackass buzzes you or throws something at you, you just have KITT go kick their ass. Can you get a Trans Am in Mavic yellow? ;-)

This is just the latest case of Hollywood movie scum leaching off of the brilliant work of Mr. Larson, Mr. Cannell, and Mr. Spelling.
It's nothing short of shameful to try to make a piece of jewelery by taking a brilliantly polished diamond of '80s TV action series and place it in the pig-iron setting of a new millenium Hollywood movie.
Have we so soon forgotten the Scooby Doo debacle?
