could this be true?

DEBKAfile exclusive sources: France offers all Iraqi diplomats and Saddam regime VIPs immediate asylum in Paris. French consulates are working around the clock to ease admission for many dozens of Iraqi escapees

war diary entry. This whole situation is just eerie.

(By the way: Thanks, Scott, for your in-depth intel a couple of days ago. I'm just now getting back to the computer. As always, your insights are indispensible.)

I'd be surprised if Saddam had some big nuke or chemical plan at this point. But I think he can pull his loyal people back, go into hiding and play a waiting game. The US is going have its hands full playing peace keeper and policeman with waring factions, general anarchy, etc. Saddam loyalists will have plenty of opportunities to pick off our people here and there in the weeks and months to come. And how long will the US population tolerate that?
