Arnett's already been dealt with. Drop it and move on. Bunning must be from the same group of taxpayer supported idiots who can't think of anything more constructive to do about our current situation than to come up with immature knee-jerk ideas such as changing the name of french fries to liberty fries.

(unfortunately), and he's worse than an idiot. Plus he keeps getting elected, despite my best efforts to beat him. I am ashamed to be a son of Kentucky everytime he pops up on TV saying something moronic.

I live in Northern KY. I generally agree with you about Bunning. He keeps getting re-elected because he had a great fastball sometime in the 70's. His pitching reputation is his only qualification for office - its a shame. He will keep getting re-elected until someone better comes along but noone wants to face him. Too bad.

A fellow named Fred Cowan, former state rep and attorney general, announced just yesterday that he's going to challenge Bunning in 2004. Might be an interesting race, since Cowan's almost as obnoxious personally as Bunning. Only difference is, he's smart. Bunning is borderline retarded.

|smart and competent, but a real a-hole. I did a little work for him back in '86, and quit after 4 hours of unprovoked abuse.
He got elected attorney general, but then ran for lieutenant governor back in the early 90s and got whipped badly because (a) people just didn't like him, and (b)He got nailed for a questionable fund-raising letter than gave everyone a better excuse than obnoxiousness not to vote for him.
Still, he's a prince and an angel compared to Bunning. I'll hold my nose and vote for him. But then I'd probably vote for Bin Laden is he were on a ballot opposite Bunning.
