No way ANYONE would get $300 US for a Korg Poly 61. Mines in great shape and I'm hoping for $200 (and that is some serious hope.) I'll probably get $150 for it.
For lack of better discussions on this board, I'll reply.bnlkid

What are you doing with a Korg Poly 61? Do you, or did you, create music in your spare time? I had a class in college called Electronic Music and something something(don't remember the rest). They had to make the class sound important to it would receive credit. I loved messing around with the synth(Yamaha DX-7), sampler, drum machine, Mac(for sequencing), and 2, 4 and 8 track recorders. Still have a copy of my final project.

If you don't sell yours, maybe you can create a nice concept bike. Cruise around town playing tunes to soothe the souls of the masses.

PS If you find out what he is smoking and are able to get you hands on some, send a little to Minneapolis. :)
Korg Poly concept bike. I'll name it Crash.Kristin

The particle board alone weighs 50 pounds, and the synth is 4 feet long. Of course, smoking will make the crashing more fun. If I did build a concept bike, I'd use an old Schwinn cruiser and make sure my final weight was over 100 pounds. I bought the Korg used in 1986 for $400 because I wanted to be the next Pat Benetar or Joan Jett. That didn't happen and the keyboard ranks #2 in my "Top 10 Dumbest Purchases" list. I never learned to play piano and only doodled around with the thing a few times. The good news is that its in great condition.
LOL! Now I'm curious as to what ranks as #1.bnlkid

I thought it was something like that. I didn't want to say for fear of offending your kind and generous sensibility. :) Everyone wanted to be Pat Benetar...well, I didn't, but I think a lot women did at the time.

I can't say that I have a list of dumbest purchases for myself, but I have made several for other people(meaning women).

I think a Schwinn Korg Cruiser would be cool!
