Enough to live happily ever after on.
Would you:
a) Quit your job on the spot, but not before rebuking that psycho boss and/or back-stabbing workmate who made life difficult for you all these years?
b) Quit on the spot and just leave quietly?
c) Give two weeks' notice and proceed to make life difficult for the psycho manager and back-stabbing workmate?
d) Give two weeks' notice and keep your mouth shut to the last day?
e) Don't say anything and proceed to make life hell for all those around you who deserve it to the point where they want to fire you, then you quit?
Today it would be (a) but probably (b) nmRoyGBiv

I like my job. Crazy, but true.

Would I keep it with $10 million in the bank? Nope. Would I burn any bridges? Nope

I'd stay at work until the money got invested - since that's what I do for a living. I might even stay employed - but very, very part time. I sure as hell sould relax, buy more bikes, take more vacations, enjoy life a lot more. The best result of that kind of money would be financial peace of mind.

By the way, I don't believe the myth that a sudden windfall creates more problems than you had before. We only hear about the idiots who piss away the money, versus the 100's of lottery winners that live in relative peace and anonymity. I would be one of them. It would allow me to be a much more conservative investor - the "sleep at night" factor.
