What is it, contagious? I haven't had a speeding ticket in at least ten years. Going to the SFO Bay area, I'm heading down the western Sierra and hit a stretch where the cruise control is overwhelmed by the descent. I come around a corner and right into a CHP speed trap. Bam! 75 in a 65.

Sheesh, some role model for the kid Eh?

So, how do you punish yourself?TJeanloz

Are you at least considering taking away your keys for a little while?

Your insurance company is going to have a field day...
Wow: 75 in a 65? That's w.coast nitpicky for you...128

Rt. 128's 55 is easily 75, same spread on the interstates.

"Son, let this be a lesson in revenue generation for you."

oh, and those tickets might line someone's pockets but say nay to wall paper!- I only say that b/c I just revived a whole interior once slain victim of the 1970's yellow wallpaper scrouge!

I'd hate to see him growing up with a cynical "everyone-does-it" attitude. If he finds out, as Tjean suggests, you should ground yourself.
I'd have to agreeColnagoFE

Although you weren't doing over 100. 75mph on an Interstate is not all that dangerous in my experience, but if you do the crime you gotta be willing to pay the fine. I haven't had a speeding ticket in more than 10 years myself and each one I did get was from on a highway where I grew up, in rural area with little to no traffic and from behind when I convinced myself that it couldn't be a cop behind me there.
Already told him, confession good for the soul?rwbadley

He laughed and did an annoying little whoo whoo dance. He's a prick just like his ol' man :-)

I tried to explain the diff between breaking the law and revenue enhancement for the state of CA. Oh well...

Had a great time in San Fran. Good food and nice riding weather on Sunday. Rode from Market st out to the top of Coit tower, then across the Golden Gate bridge out to the coast. Real nice three hour tour, a three hour tour. (for you Gilligan buffs)

tell your son if he makes fun of you for it, he's grounded for twice as long. Why? Cause you're the boss. :)

Or you can ground yourself and use it as an excuse to ride to work for a week?

Go to traffic school, which you can even do on the internet, and the ticket never happened. http://www.trafficinteractive.com/index.asp You can find more with Google.

Still gotta face the kid issue. Not quite the same as 100 when you are a minor, though.
