I had a Sprint, which shares many of the components, icluding engine.

Worst bike I ever had. Just fell apart/cracked/warped/generally disintegrated. Triumph were an absolute nighmare to deal with. Couldn't have been worse.

I simply cannot attempt strong enough disuassion.

It pains me to say it, but if you want a decent usable bike that you can rely on, go Japanese - save a lot of money and hassle.
I had a '73 Trident, not the same but....rwbadley

It was a real POS. It only had 9k when I got it. I had it running real well, then the middle spark plug blew out of the engine. If it had put a hole in the gas tank and ignited, I would have been toast.

The three has an odd vibration. I would say get a twin or a four before you get a three.

A friend I know has a new triple, she likes it ok but has needed warranty work.. The dealer is a real pian to work with . The bike had 2k and broke a clutch cable, They left her down for three weeks! I would have been pissed....

I would not recommend one...
