Hahahahaha. Typical Guardian spin. Actually we tried to knock her off the first day when we landed her in Iqaluit on Baffin Island, way up in Frobisher Bay. Just the Canadian way, eh?

after dropping the puck, I was hoping she'd strap on some skates and kick some ass for a period or two!! I guess smiling politely and waving had to suffice.

remember, when she opened an England v Scotland rugby game in the 70's, she caught her own drop-off just over the 10 yeard line, broke 3 tackles, upended the blind side flanker, went wide around the centres with 2 hand-offs, comprehensively outpaced the wing, chipped the full-back, and collected, ducked a cover tackle on the try line, and touched down in the corner, before slotting the conversion with the wrong foot in a swirling wind.

The press slammed her for that, saying that her side-step off her left leg was too readable.

She never really recovered from that.
