Not used and not from an individual - maybe a dutch auction from an ebay store. I'm looking for a scanner - nothing fancy, just the basics.

TIA

Electronics are one of those things that often don't work right out of the box or have problems in the short term. Prices at Circuit city and such stores are competitive with online and if something goes wrong I just truck it down to the store and get a replacement or a refund with no hassles or shipping charges.

http://www.pricewatch.com

click 'scanners' should be on the right under 'Input'.

Pricewatch puts you in contact w/ all those little PC shops.
I buy all my PC stuff here from various vendors. Never had a problem with any of them or with the merchandise. Great deals out there. Be sure to read carefully. Some vendors will only give you that price if you mention Pricewatch. They usually say if so.

I used dbuys.com to buy my digital camera. No problems at all. One of the sister sites to this one gave it a good rec, so I went ahead.
Also Crutchfield.com I've had good luck with them. (nm)Kristin
