Well, I was never one for convention. MCSE is Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. But really, I will proably just go for my MSA (fewer tests) with a focus in MS Exchange servers (email). I'll be pretty marketable with certs in both Exchange and Lotus. Okay, thats may last post.

Kristin,
I was just going to ask what MCES was? Thanks for explaining to the woefullly ignorant!
I know some people aren't that fond of MCSE certsColnagoFE

Are you positive you are going to be working in an all Microsoft environment? With MCSE the training is usually Microsoft's way or the highway--you don't learn the competing technologies. What if you need to administer an Oracle DB rather than a MS Database? Most people I know that get these have them paid for by the company they work for. They are pretty pricey. Not trying to talk you out of it, but I know a number of people who hire admins and they often tell me they would avoid hiring someone with a MCSE cert based on past bad experiences with individuals with one. Just relaying what I've heard though. They might be full of crap too.
Already on a career track, but thanksKristin

I'm a messaging specialist. Thats what I do. Companies will always have email. And they will mostly likely be using either Exchange or Lotus or be upgrading to one of these. If I stop being a messaging specialist, then I will become a photographer or something artsy.
Guhbye, and Good Luck! nmSintesi
