It's easy to make fun of things that are different, huh?

Imagine what those guys say about all us little fairies prancing around in our stretchy outfits and shaved legs.
I think you missed my attempt at humorTig

I'm not making fun of something that is different. As a native Texan, I grew up seeing all kinds of livestock showing up in the strangest places. While camping overnight on Matagorda beach, we were woken up by a cattle drive down the beach. You won't see that just anywhere! When I saw this photo, it just fit right in with the sometimes crazy mixture of rural and urban cultures.

I grew up with cowboy uncles who owned ranches, and my highschool was in a very rural little town. I was even a member of the FFA, raising pigs! So, the agricultural life isn't something all that different for me.

Maybe this picture will have a bit more obvious humor:
Well, if I'd known you were a Texan,MXL02

you don't get it! Longhorn cattle are far removed from the beef or milk producing variety. They are basically considered pets, and are raised for livestock show competition. This rancher was probably on his way to a competition and stopped to wash his animal, just the way most of us would bathe any other pet. The fact that Texans take pride in their ranching and farming abilities is something of which we are proud, not ashamed.
Proud to be a (cycling) Texan. MXL02

complete with facilities for seperation and double filtration of fecal matter. Not one that drains into existing bodies of water and perculates into the water table.

...that many car washes recycle water a certain number of times before disposing of it. The car in the port next do was getting a special wax job!
