|Anyone hear the story on NPR this morning about modestneeds.org? It sounded interesting, so I looked at the website, and it is pretty cool. Basically, this guy decided to start a website where he would accept requests from people in need of small, one-time financial 'boosts' to pay for emergency needs. He contributes $400 each month, and screens the requests to find those he thinks most need the help. Well, the story has been picked up by USA Today and the Today show, and now he's getting thousands of requests, plus some people are sending money to help him help others.
