|The little drummer boy||mr_spin|

|Reading about bongos below reminded me our local drummer boy, who is almost always at the trailhead of one of the local MTB trails. The spot is basically off in the wilderness, so it doesn't bother anyone except the deer and mountain lions. He just bangs away to whatever music runs through his head. He moved for a while to a much more popular park, I guess to entertain a larger audience.
It's not the devil guy who shows up for all the big races in Europe, but it is kind of funny to be coming down the trail and hear him flailing away. It sort of signals that the end of the ride is near.
Anyone else consistently run into interesting characters?

|There's a homeless guy we see way out on the bike path in Castroville from time to time - or even sometimes walking along highway 1.
He's pretty grungy and wild eyed - but the distiguishing object would be the naked Barbie Doll he has strapped to the top of his long walking stick.

|I can't believe that someone blew over $800 on a friggin' doll! Some people have the strangest collection fetishes. Now, if that money were spent on cycling gear, I could see justifying the expense...|| |
