Got a 6 x 50ml sampler of classic malts. The six were:

Cragganmore 12yr
Dalwhinnie 15yr
Glenkinchie 10yr
Oban 14yr
Talisker 10yr
Lagavulin 16yr

I ahven't gotten the characteristics "down" yet, so I'll just say what I thought. I really liked the Talisker, Oban and especially the Lagavulin! These three seemed more "robust" than the other three. The Cragganmore was good, but a little lighter. The Glenkinchie was OK, but not great. I have not tried the Dalwhinnie yet because I bought a bottle of Oban last night and drank that instead. As I stated above, the Oban was very good!

BTW, I do a 5:1 whisky/filtered water mix when I drink.

It could become an expensive luxury, but it's SOOOO good
