My wife and I are planning a bke touring trip to Maine for this summer. We plan to ride for half of the precious week off that we have. The plans are developing around a tour found on the Maine DOT website. I was wondering if anyone has experience with vacation in Washington County...around Machias and Meddybemps.
Weather: ...wait a few minutes and it will change! I have heard that before but, I am wondering what the temps will drop to overnight. We have some 15 degree bags that should be enough. Any thoughts?
The black flies (state bird Ha HA!) seem to be an issue if you spend too much time in one place. Anyone has experience with these critters and have hints as to how to avoid/when to avoid them.
Thanks in advance for the help!
