| The dog most likely to bite you is... | mr_spin Oct 31, 2001 9:05 AM | | Probably not a Labrador. And hopefully not Doug.
Based on purely anecdotal evidence, which dogs do you get as far away as you can when see them?
Let's not get into a "mean dogs come from mean owners" discussion. Talking completely in generalizations, which dogs are the friendliest?
My commute runs along a multi-user trail where I encounter lots of dogs. I never worry about the Labs. They just always seem so well-behaved and happy to be out and around. |
| the one you can't out sprint | Dog Oct 31, 2001 9:36 AM | | I look at dogs as sprinting competition. I treat them all as hostile, and I start the sprint as soon as I see them. When I pass, I yell "NO!" several times at them.
Not sure which breeds are nastiest. I never let them catch me to find out.
It's a good idea to ride with someone who you can out sprint. Guess which one the dog will go for?

| I outsprinted a pitbull once.... | Allen az Oct 31, 2001 1:41 PM | | I held 31mph for about a minute (the adrenaline totally takes over), then the dog finally gave up. On my way back, I decided to take a different way home :).
