My work has stunk for two years and I mean really stink. But times change, everything goes in cycles. Things will get better...now if the temp would only go above 15....

Had to sell my MTB to make rent, even with unemployment, now THAT sucks!

This economy really bites, I've never been jobless for more than a week. Oh, well - I'm getting in huge training.

Dude, I KNOW that hurts.
I am job shopping while closing on a house in a week.
At least I have had 3 interviews in 2 days.
The job I have prob won't last that much longer due to the economy.

My wife and I were both laid off at the end of 2001. She managed to find a good job, which is quite a load off, but I'm still looking. We may not be "officially" in a recesion but it this area (Boulder, CO) it sure looks like one to me. I should know, I was laid off twice in the last recesion in '91.

it seems many places are using the economy problems, regarless of the actual state of their company, to trim the fat. some of the trimming gets replaced immediately by other "fat", though, and some by substantially more expensive contract staff. it also seems that demands on the level of work (nights, weekends, overtime, etc.) and conditions in the workplace are either holding the line or worsening--is this because employers are taking the state of the job market into consideration, and know that most folks don't have anywhere to go from here?

...having no work at all. Here, it is extremely hard to find work (unless you graduated with honors in one of the top 3 schools). That is why I am sticking to my job even if it sucks @$$! I just pray some better company thinks I am worthy enough to be pirated.

Think of work as the dirty stuff you need to do in order to support your family and cycling. OR, think about how you felt when you were jobless.
