| Bought my first bottle of Laphroiag | BikingViking Feb 19, 2002 11:21 AM | | I bought a bottle of Laphroaig this weekend and it is certainly different than Glenlivet or Glenfiddich. I drank it neat with a 4:1 whisky/water ratio. There was a definite earthy (peaty?) flavor to it. The aroma was not too favorable. My wife smelled it and would'nt even try it. I didn't really care for it initially, but the flavor did grow on me. It even alluded to "getting used to the flavor" on the bottle.
For my next adventure, I think either Macallan or Talisker are in my future. Can't wait!!

| Tasted like a$$ right? | Dave Thomas Feb 19, 2002 3:32 PM | | Only pretentious buffoons waste their $ on this bilge. Save your $ and drink something less expensive. Good single malt tastes like it was strained through my baby's diaper,. |
