|Which do you prefer for yourself or for your kids, and why?
Personally, I prefer the PS2 because it's games are guaranteed great (Gran Turismo 3, Grand Theft Auto 3, Ace Combat 4, Metal Gear Solid 2, etc.), and is impossible to end up like the Dreamcast. Bottomline, it's the safest bet among the 3.

|...has the biggest selection of games, plays DVDs without any add ons (unlike the X-Box), and is a fun way to goof off. The down side to my PS2 is that my S.O. says I spend too much time playing games. Even my boss says I spend too much time playing video games and not enough time riding!
One thing, though....keep the kids away from Grand Theft Auto 3! That game is wicked (which is also why I like to play it!)

|The thing I look for in a system or game is cheater codes -- the ability to just play a game and not have to worry about spending months figuring it out, going back to the beginning at every slip. What about that? However, I haven't played many games in a long time.

|You name the PS2 game and if it has cheat codes, you can find it through a search engine.
I've drifted away from the game consoles and like PC games like Diablo 2. My 13 year old daughter loves The Sims. The best part of that game is building wild dream houses with the aid of downloaded objects.
I'm eyeing the X-box, but the price is high and I have several more bike upgrades for the new frame ahead of it! ;o)

|Haven't played in a long time? Gaming today is a far cry from the NES you came to know and love. I highly recommend Grand Theft Auto 3. Very addicting! I almost skipped my workout last night because I lost track of time playing GTA3.
By the way, do a search on Yahoo for NESticle. You'll be able to download Punch Out, Mario Bros. 3, Adventure Island, etc. and play them in your PC.
