Hey everyone...I am in the middle of a killer bout with insomnia...I havnet slept more than 10 hours in the past 7 days and I really miss sleeping at night!
I tend to have this pattern when im stressed and Ive been pretty stressed lately....How much sleep does everyone normally get...I shoot for about 9 hours!

My cat ensures that I wake up fairly early. Luckily, I'm a morning person.

I don't know what to tell you, but sometimes when I can't fall asleep in my bed, I move to the couch. For whatever reason, it works 75% of the time.

There is no way I could go 7 days on 10 hours sleep. If I were you, I would start drinking! Don't stop until you pass out.

That sucks....sorry man.

7 is my norm.

Try getting on the trainer until your legs won't move anymore and you just fall over and pass out. No maybe that is a bad idea. But you may get stronger.

Now go to sleep.

I would like to get more, but I have to get my kids ready for school in the morning (get up @ 720a) and I work until midnight, ride home on the bike as much as possible, and hit the sack by 1am. When I get 8 I feel like a million bucks!

Eight hours on an average night and nine hours on weekends. I'd sleep 10 but, hey, there are things to do!

I can actually get by pretty well with seven hours but I just love to wake up, look at the time, realize I have another hour, roll over and go back to sleep.

If I can't sleep, I watch race tapes or sleep on the couch. For some reason, just changing where I'm sleeping often works. If I'm watching a tape, after a while even Phil starts to drone and sleepy-bye just happens.

weekdays: 11:45 PM - 5:45 AM (6 hrs.)
weekends: 1:00 AM - 7:00 AM (6 hrs.)

I don't really like sleeping. I just feel like it's a waste of time. Haven't slept-in in months, & I'm a teen! My bed sucks anyway.

I try for eight but usually get seven. I work shifts so sometimes when I'm on afternoons I'll shut the alarm off and just get up whenever I feel like it' especially if the weather is bad.
I once went through what you are going through now and know how incredibly frustrating that can be. I've always hated taking pills for anything but finally broke down and bought some Nytol. Took it about 7:30 went to bed at 9:00 for three nights and it worked. Knock on wood I've never had the problem again.
Good luck
5 to 6 hours, usually...not quite enough.cory

My wife has to get up at 5:30, then my daughter at 6. I don't have to be at work (15 min from home) until 9, but I rarely go back to sleep. It's irritating as hell... but we've been doing it so long that I nearly always wake up at 5:30 even on weekends. In summer I can go ride in the mornings, but this time of year it's dark and 16 degrees.
I have poor sleep habitsKristin

I try to allow for at least six, but often fall short. When I don't have an appointment with Mr. Alarm-Clock, I typically sleep 6.5 hours. If I allow myself to, I can fall back asleep after 30 minutes and get another 3 hours. One thing I can't do is nap. I can not fall asleep during the day.

I hope u get some sleep soon! Insomnia bites.
