yeah I know - but you never believe that the ten inches of precipitation for the year will show up when you're there in the back country - I guess we were prepared - but only so far as to remain safely in hibernation - true preparation would have been bringing the gear to continue in the snow - though it wouldn't have been possible to read the topo maps - you don't want to get lost in 1200 miles of emptiness

oh yeah - no that trail is not bikeable - even if it was allowed... I'd love to do a Bob Trailer camping trip on a bike in the park - I think I suggested it to Kristin back when she was looking for a holiday
