Where'd ya get tha' sweet lookin' 3-d map image ya used on the general board "Weird weather" post, eh?

Does it cover the globe or just America?

It's called Topo USA. This is version 3.0.

It's an incredible program; you can 3d anywhere in the U.S., such that it almost looks like an aerial view. It runs routes and shows hill profiles, too. Highly recommended, but you'll need some horsepower to run it.

Wow... that is one of the coolest programs I have seen in a long time. I have seen the profile view (showing elevation change) on some race fliers and now I know how they did it. It looks like a great tool.
