People are always getting it on in her books. Still want to be the gingerbread man. If you ever start to bonk you simply have to eat an arm. No wrapper to dipose of either.

Joseph Wambaugh of course. I could do without being an alcohlic, broken down, bad on his luck cop though.
Probably wouldn't sell too many books talking about a guy who enjoyed being bored and having nothing to do.

Tom Clancy....
John Grisham...
Walter Mosley...
James Ellroy....

All these guys can write but I don't think I would fit into any of their themes...

I like movies better......Shane, Shane, come back Shane!! (actually that was based on a book).
That is a little too adventureous for me. Want to be in a bookMB1

where good things happen to people. Don't want to be in a book where people die in large numbers in bad ways.

Anonymous writes some pretty good stuff. ;-)

Ah, to be young and foolish, over and over again...

i who would you want you author to be?

I guess the operative word here is WANT. What I AM is probably closer to Robert Slocum, the protagonist in Joseph Heller's 'Something Happened'.

I'd like to be the Fat Controller/Mr. Broadhurst from "My Idea of Fun" or a similar bizarre character in a Will Self book: at least for a short, sordid time.
Tom Robbins, except...RS
