Office: 13' x 13' with three big windows looking north from downtown L.A. toward the Angeles Forest and San Gabriel Mountains on a beautiful sunny and warm day.

Wearing: Boring white button-down shirt; boring olive green cuffed pants, boring burgundy shoes, boring argyle socks, boring green and red and blue boxers.

P.S. Dino's responses always spur creative thinking about how to retire as soon as possible.

Then when I finally let go, I was already so tired (hormones are HELL) I only got to really spin for another 10 minutes. I'll catch on though. Thanks again for the loan!

work, 8 x 8 cubicle that I share with someone else (aargh! overcrowded office).
white "stretch cotton" dress shirt buttoned all the way up.
olive Dockers
white 3-button V-neck cardigan with Indian head nickel buttons
black leather Gap belt with Startac in hip holster, set to "vibrate"
black box-toe slip on loafers

on the desk: crappy Pentium II PC running Orifice 2000, which has now crashed for the third time on the PageMaker doc I've been working on all afternoon for a packaging project deadline (not wearing the PC at the moment, but give it time...)

no safety glasses or pocket protectors, but I do have these as leftovers from the several times that I worked as a contractor for G.E.

On the bright side, my window has an awesome view of the Indian Peaks and Arapahoe Glacier, and my boss lets me take 90 minute lunches so I can go ride the miles and miles of great trails and road just beyond the office parking lot.
Man, it must be slow at work today.MB1

Looks like we're all stuck in cubicles ey?

I'm sharing mine too, office is kinda small, pay is even smaller. I guess that's the way it works when my country's economy sucks as hell.

Using a Pentium 3 PC (700 mhz) with Counter Strike installed for those boring lunch breaks.

What I'm wearing:

Blue checkered short sleeved polo shirt tucked out
White undershirt by Jockey
Blue face Tag Heuer steel bracelet watch
Girbaud jeans
black socks
black cheapo dexter shoes (loafers)
black belt
Jockey briefs

work, 12x18 foot office with 3 other desks. No windows, climate control lab. It's always 70 degrees 40% humidity. Unless I have work in the environmental chambers then its either 60 degrees in 8% humidity or 78 degrees in 80% humidity. If I take a walk I can see the foothills and Indian Peaks out of the window.

white Prosail (Australian sailing charter company)T-shirt

Every day is casual day around here! The best part of being a Silicon Valley hack is no dress code. Up until two weeks ago, I wore shorts every day. I stopped wearing suits on interviews a long time ago. The last time I had to "dress" for a job was years ago, when I was an assistant manager at Pizza Hut.

I was suprised to see that a former counterculture addict like you is so buttoned-up! God it's great being "old and responsible", isn't it?

I'm there, too (sigh). I pretty much live in khakis, loafers and white (men's) dress shirts.

Our days are always pretty casual here, but I don't like blue jeans (heresy, I know).

Hey, it's Friday afternoon, too late to begin another project, so . . .

my 12 x 19 office I share with a woman co-worker. Two large windows looking north at an evergreen wooded area, with a meadow to the west. Very nice; I sometimes see birds, squirrels, rabbits, and deer, but not today - there's a guy caulking and cleaning the windows.

reading glasses so I can read the computer screen.
Eddie Bauer wrist watch
burgundy and blue - or is it green - pinstripe on white sports/dress shirt
sorta' green fleece vest
Levi 501s
black socks - it's winter now!
Timberland moccasin type shoes

Oh, and room mate appreciates that I wear underwear.
