|I felt a real stab tonight when I heard of the death of Ken Kesey. Perhaps you have to be of a certain age, but Kesey, the Merry Pranksters, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Tom Wolfe's Electric Kool-Aide Acid Test, and the Whole Earth Catelog (of which Kesey was a contributor) they were all a pretty important part of defining the counterculture of the 60's and 70's for me.
Do I wish for Ken to Rest in Peace, or go Further? I dunno, Ken. Your call. Many will miss you...

|"Nobody complains about all the fog. I know why, now: as sad as it is, you can slip back in it and feel safe. That's what McMurphy can't understand. Us wanting to be safe. He keeps trying to drag us out of the fog, out in the open where we'll be easy to get at."|

|I was late to the party but Kesey and Wolfe (early stuff) made a big impression. My feelings will match yours when Dr. Hunter S. Thompson and Tom Robbins find themselves writing for the publisher in the sky.|| |
