|Seems even the ND football team is not immune to terrorist activity.
Subject: Irish Football Practice Halted Amid Terrorist Threat
South Bend, Indiana (AP) - October 30th, 2001
Notre Dame football practice was delayed this morning for nearly two hours. One of the Fightin' Irish players, while on the way to the locker room, happened to look down and notice a suspicious looking, unknown white powdery substance on the practice field.
Head Coach Bob Davie immediately suspended practice while the FBI was called in to investigate. After a complete field analysis, the FBI determined that the white substance unknown to the players was actually the goal line.
Practiced resumed when FBI Special Agents decided that the team was not likely to encounter the substance again.

A platoon of crack Special Forces soldiers have taken the first steps of reprisal after last month's incidents in America. The heroic force, comprised of Stanfurd graduates, have broken into the dog holding area of the UC Davis Veterinary Science Building and captured all the Afghans.
At last report they were awaiting further instructions.

|I am not a Notre Dame lover, but they can finish with a losing season and still get a major bowl game. Don't know how they do it|

|I have learned to hate ND just as I hate every other over-hyped sports teams. Examples: Atlanta Braves and the Dallas Cowboys - both rammed down our throats as "America's Teams" yech. I'm not fond of the Yankees either, but at least they are winners....OK...so is Atlanta...but not Dallas.
ND gets more TV coverage than they deserve. More bowl bids. And....a lot of really good high schools players go to school there and become mediocre college football players. Sorry for the rant. In my area, there are too many ND fanatics to count. I used to like ND, but after years of being told how great they are, I've gotten sick of them. How good can a team be if they hire some coach right out of high school??? Not a bright move.
You know..this non-cycling forum is a good idea.
