|First road bike is ready for a new set of tires. Currently using Continental Grand Prix 3000, 700 x 23c and they seem fine to me. Are there any good lighter weight tires out there at a great price?

|Someone posted a link to Texas Cyclesport yesterday. They have GP3000's at a great price (if you like the color):
SuperGo had Axial Pro Race for $35 recently. They might still have them. I like that tire.
Otherwise one of the UK sites usually has good prices on tires/tubes, if you can wait a week or so.

|If you're looking to buy just one set, then go on Ebay. I just picked up a set of Michelin Pro Race clinchers for $56 shipped. Similar deals are available for other popular tires. If you're looking to buy a whole bunch of tires, then you're better off ordering from overseas (ala Parker, Total Cycling, etc).
As for weight, the Contis are pretty competitive weight wise with other high end training/racing tires (Pro Race, Open Corsa, etc). The only tire I can think of off hand that weighs less without sacrificing too much durability would be Veloflex Paves which are 180g in a 22 width.
