American Classic wheels vs.?blueridgerider

I'm 5' 11", 147 and in the market for climbing wheels. Someone here suggested oddsandendos for good deals on Am. Classic http://www.oddsandendos.com/. I looked and they are about $100 less than the exact same configuration from American Classic direct (approx $334 vs. $430). Another very reputable master wheelbuilder, Joe Young http://www.youngwheels.com, builds the same set, but with DT Rev or Ritchey spokes for $550+. Why is there such a huge difference in price? Anyone with experience with oddsandendos? What's the general feeling about American Classic wheels? Light, I know, but durable? Otherwise there's always a light Durace/Open Pro setup from Excel. Any others I should consider in the $3 - 400 range? TIA for any advice.

Mike Garcia is in florida. Am Classic is just a city or two away from him. I guess they hook him up with good prices.

I just got a pair of wheels from him, the CR350 rims, Sun of Bubba front, Tune rear hub. Very nice, very light wheels, I am quite pleased with them.

Do a search here and youll probably find a bunch of comments on oddsandendos.com
