Anyone know who has the best prices on Shimano outside of california (trying to save on sales tax). Supergo seems like the cheapest, but gotta pay shipping and tax.
Thanks Josh

Little known fact, if you mail order something from out of state, you still need to pay your own state's sales tax on it. They'd like you to remit the tax at year's end for all of the purchases you've made. If the company doesn't have nexus in your state, the onus is on you to remit the tax, instead of on the company.

It is, however, rarely enforced- unless you buy something very large from an out-of-state seller. But it is technically tax evasion to not remit the tax.

True, you're supposed to. I work in the tax-system building business, and it's not enforced. It's a voluntary tax - I think only employees of tax departments and overly conscientious people pay up. I don't.

We all like to think it's unenforced, but Dennis Kozloski (sp?), former CEO of Tyco, just got nailed for it.
