|I guess everyone knows you can get some crazy deals on ebay. But I have a new Mercier road bike with Reynolds 853 that I am very proud of. I am a long distance rider (not fast - just long) and I love the steel frames. Anyway, I saw a fantastic deal on a Brand New Mercier on ebay that I thought any rider interested in steel would like. Happy Easter, be safe, and stay on your bike as long as you can|

|First of all, this is not Mercian, it is Mercier.
Mercier was a French bicycle manufacturer. Go to this website ( http://www.cyclesmercier.com/cyclesmercier_c002.html ) and tell me if it is French. I think not - the English has too many American idioms.
There is no address for the manufacturer. There is no telephone number for the manufacturer. There is no way to contact the manufacturer except by email. In short, you would have to believe that the manufacturer has no distributors, no on-line sales, and no one to answer the phone. Seems like a peculiar way to run a business...
The head tube badge on the bikes for sale bears no resemblance to the original Mercier Badge.
I would have a LOT of questions to ask before I plunked my money down on one of these..
So century2, where exactly did you buy your Mercier?
