Motobecane LeChampion vs Primal Heatstroke @ bikesdirect.comdas99

Looking @ 2 bikes on bikesdirect.com and can't decide. The Motobecane Le Champion is Ultegra @ $1095.00. Looks like a great deal and I know that Motobecane is a great bike. On the other hand, the Primal really looks cool, and is a limited edition. It's priced a little more but still seems like a great deal. Any comments or help?

go to GVH for a better deal (unless you're just worried about looking cool, but then again remember that cool is in the eye of the beholder)

Not everybody can read minds so here's the actual address: www.gvhbikes.com Good deals for alot of Ultegra equiped bikes and remember steel is not an out dated frame material. Its all in the marketing that you are brainwashed with.

indirect bikes must be desparate to move product, given their pathetic attempts here to move questionable merchandise. Two big thumbs down for indirect bikes.

uninformed. The Motobecane is not "a great bike". It might seem like a value at $1100 for an Ultegra bike, but the value is in the components, not the cheap asian frame.

Motobecanes are no longer made in France? I am disappointed to hear that. BTW who is MBK? Are they any relation to Motobecane?

Avoid! They have no telephone number! They do not even have an address or contact information! They sent me the wrong sized bike and then refused to refund my money! They are a fly-by-night operation run out of a basement in Compton. I ended up paying a hefty 15% restocking fee. People here suggested GVH to me many months ago. I should have listened.

What is up with trying to impersonate me? I don't get it...

In addition, I looked at the bikesdirect site policy page and they don't charge a restocking fee

I think you are GVHore bikes and can't stand any honest competition...

I looked at bikesdirect and they seem to have some really good deals - I am very interested in the $1600 Dura Ace le champion they have.
You are a freaking idiotWho are you trying to kid.

You have been away from this board since your last spamming episode many months ago. Now you magically appear the same time as more spam arrives from that laughable indirect bikes site. And you still have not purchased a bike? Give me a freaking break.

Why don't you mothers pay for advertising here instead of free-loading! It really makes you look bad.

By the way, any bike at Gary's would blow the made in Tawain crap you sell right out the window. Just ask any of his customers. The bikes you people sell are for morons who do not know any better. People who want their first bike to come in under a grand. Go hang out around the arcade pal. Those people do not exist here.

I got a Motobecane le Champion from a dealer; I am very happy with it. I did pay more than bikesdirect.com price - but I still got a great bike at a good price. One tip for on-line shoppers; noone has to worry about re-stocking or refusal to take back problems from ANY online seller as long as you charge on your credit card. You can just ship the item back and refuse the charge; your credit card company will always side with you.

I got mine last year on bikesdirect.com - the model seems way improved but i got a great deal and quick delivery - and it is full Ultegra and I paid $1095 - bet the local dealer by $500
Beat the dealer price-but now your stuck with a MOTOBECANE! duhsprockets

is David A Sander, owner/operator of Bikesdirect.com? (In a post several months ago touting the upcoming Primal bike line, das99 slipped and said "We're thinking about carrying them," and then wouldn't answer a question about where his shop was).

Not flaming Sander or bikedirect. They're fine by me. Just think it's a giggle.
So the frames are ugly, how about the kits?sctri

hey there, given by your response to this company and these frame, i am gonna go with the assumption that they aren't real high quality...

But, if you were to take a decent frame, like one of those fastbacks from supergo, and make a little swap, and given a few upgrades, it would be a pretty good deal no?

what do you ppl think?

thanks

There's a bike shop in houston that sells the le champion for $1099 and that includes free lifetime service and tuneups. I would rather buy there than online.
