|Look no further than your LBS Litespeed dealer. After looking in all the usual places, including Colorado Cyclist, I picked up the phone and started asking about what they had in previous year's Litespeed, 55 cm frame.
Got my Classic frame in my size for $950 because it was two model years old. Also found a three year old never built Catalyst frame for $850. If you know your size and don't need custom, you'd be surprised what you'll find.
|www.excelsports.com has the Macalu (Litespeed) @$995.||Dog Breath|

|I found the over sea's places blow the prices for colnago stateside out of the water. Once again you can thank VeltechSports for their price fixing. Any ways check totalcycling.com for the c-40...$2550 and the dream plus ...$1175. Also look into saddlesores.com c-40...$2500 and the dream plus...$1100 and their prices include shipping. Hope my rambling helps.|

|If you are interested in colnago, check with Ale at www.romeobicycleshop.com in Italy. Alessandro is easy to work with and very responsive. Size or color, he can get it in reasonable time and good prices.|

|check out labicicletta.com. there's a "blowout" section. Got a 2000 Ultimate frame in my size (this year they don't make my size) for $1630 to my door. They have some Litespeeds left and also Colnagos. |

|Great place. I bought a 1999 Ultimate frame + fork for $1600 on close out. It came within a week. I've bought lots of stuff from Labicicletta and never had a problem. |
Colorado Cyclist did have a hell of a deal on an Ultimate w/ DA components for $3000. It would be hard to do it yourself (w/ 1600 frame) any cheaper. Gotta take what they put on it though (no substitutions).
If you're a bigger rider, the Ultimate is a great bike. if you're small, you might find it too stiff.

|Also bought a 1999 Ultimate frameset ($1395, I think) a while back - got it in about a week and a half (missed their weekly ship date) |
Great shop - very easy to work with, answered all my questions, and stand behind what they sell.
Agree about the bigger rider on the Ultimate - at 6'3", 210lbs, this bike rocks!
