Aug 30, 2001 1:41 PM | | I've been poking around online and I'm trying to find a great deal on a bike with a good (pref steel but alum is OK) frame and at least 105 parts.
supergo.com has a Ti mongoose with 105 for $1300, but that'a little steep. Looks like you can get an Iron Horse Glory here and there pretty cheap too. What's the best deal you can find out there? |

Aug 31, 2001 12:12 PM | | with Campy Veloce for $1099. It's not exactly named accurately and has a chromed steel fork, but I'll bet it's a nice ride. The same frame with Ultegra and a Reynolds Ouzo fork is $1439. With 105 and a steel fork, you're probably in the Veloce price area. |

I found this Motobecane Lechampion at bikesdirect.com.
Says it has a full Ultegra group, aero bladed spoke wheels and a CARBON aero fork and a 2.7 lb frame!
It seems almost too good to be true - must be some kind of introductory offer or something.
You could probably buy the bike - sell the Ultegra and have a Dura-Ace bike for $1500 and even have money left over to get some really high-end bar, stem and seatpost. |
