Looking to upgrade from Mavic Cosmic Elites to some Ksyriums (Clinchers). Anybody know how cheap I can get them and where? Thanks!

www.probikekit.com has them listed for 423.04.

I'm thinking of ordering a set myself...

Does anyone know what the shipping and customs duties might total?

Last year I bought a pair of Ksyriums w/ a Campy cassette, Axial Pros and tubes, and bar tape from Total Cycling. The shipping was in the neighborhood of $30 as I recall. I had expected to be charged another $30 or so customs duty upon delivery, but the delivery fellow said nothing about it, so I didn't ask. My total price then was under $600. In general, for a significant order (over $500) I would expect to pay less customs duty than state tax, but check Total Cyling's site for customs duty information.

That's by far the cheapest I've seen them. I guess with the newer versions coming out they are going to start discounting Ksyrium's. I agonized but, couldn't resist!

Darn,

Maybe you got the last set because now they say they are sold out.....

Just when I was ready to order a set... ;-(

Oh well guess I'll have to wait.

Probikeit was getting in more of the Ksyrium's in in 2 weeks. Order a set now and maybe they can put you on a waiting list!

Thanks TC,

I've been watching thier site and have emailed them to see if they have a waiting list or will take back orders. No response yet so we will see...

Do me a favor and let me know how things go with your order.

Thanks

Well I thought that I got in before the initial supply was gone, but no! I still told them that I wanted a set and would wait for the 2nd shipment. I really don't need these that fast! So we've been in communication and they tell me that they expect the wheels in on or around the 9th-11th and will ship ASAP. He said that they tell customers in the States that it takes 1-2 weeks for orders to clear customs. He also mentioned that they tell customers that that is the longest that it would take and that is just a worst case scenario.

So I ride and wait!

TC,

If you don't mind, could you keep me up to date on your order?

I got an email from Probikeit, and they say they will email me when the wheels are in and then I can place and order....

As soon as I hear more, I'll post and let you know.

Thanks

They have the 2nd batch in and are in the process of shipping today the 14th or 15th. Hope to have them in 1 week- 10 days. With this mess of Emory Air Freight being grounded (even though they have contracted out) with other planes doesn't mess up the shipping from Europe. Others having to pick up the load?

They stuck to their promise as to when the wheels would arrive to them, so I guess they can't be all that bad. Order your set!

Got the wheels today the 17th. Came US mail and had to go to the Post Office to pick up. Thought that was kinda unusual. Figured they'd come either Fed ex or UPS?

Gotta say I'm real impressed with their ability to get it here that fast! They won me over!

Almost any thing you get from them you will have to go to the post office. Several years back when less people knew about them you didn't have to do that. I suspect they have been ripped off some, so this is the best way to make sure (and for them to know) that the right person got the package. When i saw that they had emailed you in the note above i emailed them to see if i could get in line or get a pair of the wheels. I got no response and the site comes up with just shimano compatiable. I have been watching every day. The least they could have done was tell me there is a waiting list to get on or that there are no more campy coming anytime soon. Over the last five years i have bought alot of stuff from them. I'm disappointed.

Thanks for the tip as far as the mailing goes. I'd keep sending inquiries and see if they will get some Campy ones in.

Their telephone # is 015395 68768

Fax: 015395 68820

i was poised to get a set of Speeddreams until I saw this one. I knew I couldn't pass on this deal.
