used quantum pro: good deal?(2 posts)

used quantum pro: good deal?temelin

The LBS has a used quantum pro on consignment.
It is a 2000 or possibly 1999 model (forest green
paint). The original dura-ace components have
been swapped out for new (2001) ultegra components.
It still has the original Rolf Vector Pro wheels.

The bike seems to be in pretty good shape other than
a few small nicks and one small ding in the top tube.
They want $2000 for it. Is this a good deal?

Frankly, unless this is a fantastic deal I will probably
buy a 2001 LeMond Zurich or Alpe d'Huez instead. I don't
know why but the LeMond bikes seem to fit me better than
most other brands I have tried.

I don't think thats a good deal. I recently purchased a 2001 Klein Quantum Race brand new with Ultegra and Vector Pros for that price. Buy the Lemond fit is everything.
