|I ride mountainbikes, mostly downhill and freeride. I'm looking to get into Road biking mostly as a means of exercise (I'm a college athlete) but hopefully it will turn into a hobby as well. I need a good bike with good components because I just like to have good stuff, eventhough I'm sure it will be more bike than I actually need. I would appreciate any help I can get. I know nothing, including what size bike i would need (I'm 6'2 175lbs.) I have about $1000 to spend, maybe slightly more, and am looking for something used so i get the most bang for my buck|

|You need to get your inseam measurement before you can figure out your frame size. Colorado Cyclist website gives more info on how to go about it:
For used bikes check out the classified on this website. For $1200 you can get very decent bikes at gvhbikes.com Many cycling stores have early spring sales around april-- check them out for good deals on last year's model.
