Ebay-Colnago C40 $2400, scam or notTrekvolkswagon

I recently found a lightly used Colnago C40hp w/ record, kysriums, carbon cranks, full ti cassette....its loaded, for $2400. I've e-mailed the guy and he kinda seems to know what he's talking about, and the auction looked very professional. He has good feedback, but all of the other items that he has sold, haven't been bike related and the listed locations for them have been in in the US while he's now saying that he's in the UK. Can people hack into people's Ebay accounts? He gave me his address, and it's not a P.O. box and he excepts personal checks, COD, money, etc, so I orginally thought I was just getting a killer deal, untill he told me his location. When the auction was first listed it had a "buy it now" price of $2400, but someone bid, and it disapeared, so i e-mailed him just to see if he would still take 2400. He said yes. But im starting to think 2400 is way too cheap, and something might be wrong. So I asked him for a picture of the bike with today's paper in front of it(I needed something original that he couldn't find on-line copy), just to make sure the bike is real. I just sent him this e-mail, and he hasn't replied yet. If he doesn't reply I dont plan on buying the bike. But lets say he does reply and he gives me a pciture of the bike w/ today's newspaper in front of it, should i buy it? He's covering shipping. I mean $2400 for a $7000 is tempting, but I dont want to loose $2400. His name is Philpe Monreau and he is from London England. Has any one dealt with him before. Should I back out of this deal? Thanks - Tom

It was just confirmed that it is a scam. A guy just posted a add on ebay stating that the auction was a scam and that the pictures and discription where taken from his add. So look out for this guy. His e-mail is: Monreau@aol.com (which isn't even UK)

And he gave me this info:

First name: Philipe
Last name: Monreau
Address:10 Malbrook Road
City: London
Zip: SW15 6UH.
Country: UK

I have used a picture and text from someones auction before. It was for small stuff I didn't want to take the time to do myself.
