Team Scalpel on EBAY is Chris Fox--WATCH OUT!--Elguapo

Yeah, this guy is Chris Fox. He used to sell a lot on this site (and maybe still is under a different name?) and seemed to piss off a lot of people.

I think he has "reincarnated" a couple of times on Ebay because of bad trades. Last year he was pumping up his own auctions with fake Ebay accounts. You could tell because the same two people would bid on everything of his and they would never win anything.

I'm sure he sells some good stuff most of the time, but it sounds like he has a history of burning people and offers incredibly poor customer service.

Deal with a Jerk and you'll just get jerked around.

Just my $.02

I have known Cris a long time and I am not going to get into a he said, she said thing. That is old news. But you posted a reference# for a person selling a Team Scalpel WHO IS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. Either you can't read or you are just guilty of wanting to slander someone. I know that Cris has sold under Team Scalpel at one time and he actually rides one when he races. But I really doubt he has gone to England to post his bike under another name. Insofar as his ebay record is concerned he seems to maintain a 98-99% positive feedback which is not too shabby for the volume he sells and the fact that used equipment is a crapshoot unless you really know the seller. Maybe he is not lovable and people liked to be stroked, but it is your dime. You can buy elsewhere.

I thought the post referred to the seller (teamscalpel) not to the content of the auction. My bad, whatever.

I still stick by the fact that people should avoid Chris Fox/Teamscalpel/mtbjunky287/ or any other alias he switches to when he builds up too many disgruntled customers. He may have a 97% rating on e-bay, but there are still a couple dozen people out there that he screwed.

Luckily it seems he's not using these accounts to sell anymore or E-bay shut him down, one of the two. Does anyone know what name he's trying to sell under now?

This is old stuff and youwere never involved with any of it. You are just trying to stir up trouble when it is not your own. How do you know he actually shafted people? You don't know the whole story or even part of it. There are more lies posted on this site than just the overseas scams. People lie about people, name call, etc. You know that any definition of what is good to one person is trashed to another. People expect bikes that have been ridden not to have a scratch. 98%+ on ebay is not to be discounted given the fact that his volume is 100s of items per month. Go ride, it is better for you and you may think a little clearer because of it.
