|First, I sold my bike, he paid me and I paid for shipping it express to the buyer - he promised to reimburse me for the extra cost, but hasn't.
Now he gets the bike and claims that the components are not what I said they were! I'm astounded by this - what, did they get changed by the UPS guy? I read the labels right off the components and that's what I told him they were - now that he has the bike he says they say something different! I don't understand how this can happen!!! He also claims that the wheels are out of true. They weren't when I shipped it - is this something you can claim under the shipping insurance? If they are honestly out of true then it would have to have happened during shipping.
I am so frustrated. I've sold one other bike online before and the other buyer was thrilled with the bike and my packaging job, so I'm not sure how to deal with this. How do I respond to these bizarre accusations that the components are different? I know what was on there when I sent it, but how can I prove it? Help!!

|I sounds to me like he wants to get out of paying the extra shipping costs. Since he is obviously not happy, tell him to forget about the extra shipping and call it even.|

|Yeah - that's probably a good call.|

|What components? Did you have pre-Flight Deck DA, for example? Or an 8-speed group?|| |
