Anyone deal with
Jul 16, 2002 1:31 PM
I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with M. Ganzel ( from Chicago, Ill. ? I found a account on e-bay and he has 1 positive feedback from , who had many repeated account feedbacks by the same people on his account. It seems like is a fake because of all the repeated feedbacks, some individuals left around 5 feedbacks for one sale!
re: Anyone deal with
Jul 17, 2002 8:18 AM
Can't speak for snakes but the other person seems to be selling vintage road parts so it is not uncommon for someone to buy a lot of stuff that are being sold individually. You cannot post multiple feedback for the same item. As for snakes, don't know whether you are buying or selling. If selling get the money, if buying it better be a great deal. I have said this before but no one listens. Why risk your money if you are not sure?
re: Anyone deal with
Jul 17, 2002 8:59 AM
I'd be buying with a U.S.P.S. money order, which is the safest way to go. I'm use to buying from someone who usually has many transaction feedbacks and this gentleman only has one. I'd be taking a risk because he has a good deal. Decisions....decisions....
Jul 18, 2002 6:22 AM
I was ready to buy some cycling shoes from this guy and he backed out at the last minute. He asked if I could pay him through pay pal because it would make his life much easier. I replied saying that I'd rather pay him with a U.S.P.S. money order and he agreed and mentioned that they were mine for buying. Next thing I know, he wrote back saying don't bother to send a money order because someone else bought them with pay pal and I'm quoting him "money know". Everyone stay clear of this "boy" if he is selling or trying to buy!

There are always other deals from really good traders that are honest. I don't know what you wanted to buy but try Bill Larson. I have been doing business with him for years. Ask anyone, he is totally honest. Even if he is a few bucks higher you will get what you want and he stands behind it.
yes, Bill Larson is good. nmweiwentg

i'm so glad i was able to respond with what really happened. this guy, zink, replied to me that he wanted the shoes and that he was ready to pay right now so i told this other person that the shoes were sold. then he came back with "well, i don't know. are they new? are they black? what happens if my shoelaces brake? my pussy hurts." i decided to sell them to somebody who could truly appreciate a new pair of sidis. not this geek. then the clown has the nerve to threaten me online until he found out i was a chicago police officer. what a pussy.

Tuesday July 16- Hi, I wrote you earlier about the shoes and mentioned that I'm interested in the size 44 shoe. I got to thinking and think that I may be interested in both pairs because I'm not sure which size would fit better. Please let me know if they are still available. Thanks,Brad

Tuesday July 16 (reply from snakes)- they are both still available. that's what i can always turn around and sell the ones that aren't quite right.

Tuesday July 16- Hi Martin, Did either shoe not fit you and if not, what did you decide on for a shoe? I'm interested in both pairs and would like to know how much you'd take for both. I'd prefer to pay by a U.S.P.S. money order if that is o.k. with you. Thanks, Brad Zink

Tuesday July 16 (reply from snakes)- actually, brad, i tried them both and before that i had carnac elipses. neither really felt right. i ended up with dmt's they seem to fit me the best. i'll do $175 for both, shipped and a money order is fine. let me know. marty

Wednesday July 17- Hi Marty, I'll take both pairsfrom you. I just want to be sure that I can sell the pair that doesn't fit. Have you had many e-mails about them? I'll need your address to send a check to. Mine is: ...... Thanks, Brad

Wednesday July 17 (reply from snakes)- brad, i know you said wanted to pay with a money order, but is there any way you could use your credit card and go through paypal? that would make my life so much easier. marty

Wednesday July 17- Hi Marty, I would rather send you a U.S.P.S. money order as I said before. I can get a money order tomorrow and send it to you. I live in N.C. and you would receive it within 2-3 days. Have you had many e-mails about the shoes? I was just wondering because I'll sell the pair that doesn't work out for me and don't want to be stuck with the extra pair. Regards, Brad

Wednesday July 17 (reply from snakes)-allright, brad. they're yours. in answer to your question, i do get a lot of emails about these shoes. i don't think you'll have any problem selling the ones that don't work. you might, however, be like me and need them both. i seem to have a larger right foot than left. please send the money order for $175., which includes shipping, to:marty ganzel, .... w. wilson, chicago IL, 60625 thanks

Wednesday July 17-Sounds good to me. I'll send you a Postal money order tomorrow for $175. Let me know when you receive the money order andwhen you ship them. How are you going to ship them by the way? Brad

Wednesday July 17 (reply from snakes)-they'll go ups

Wednesday July 17- Hi Marty, Could I have your phone # so I can let you know when and how I'm mailing the money order to you? I'll be away from the computer tomorrow until late. Thanks, Brad

Wednesday July 17 (reply from snakes)- actually, don't mail it. i just sold them to someone else. sorry, but money talks, you know?.....

for Good Trader/Bad Trader "as the stomache turns" ratings.

As an uninvolved third party, here's my assessment...

If I were Judge Judy I'd also give Snakes a good verbal whoopin' not just for being an obvious creep to do business with but for his sexist tacky bs rants on the internet.

Just one gal's opinion, o' course.
Better watch out Judge Judy ! ! ! ! !getinthesufferzone
Aug 1, 2002 3:39 PM
or else Snakes will claim that you are biased in this case because "your pussy hurts" and report you to the Judicial Review Board for unethical jurisprudence, he being a Chicago cop and all.

Now I have to go because I just braked a shoelace on my Sidis and nobody has one in stock so MY pussy hurts now...and last time they checked I had an XY chromosome....go figure.
Aug 1, 2002 5:43 PM
Lol!!!! That boy name Marty said at one time that he was in the 13th precinct I believe. I still can't believe that he said that I asked about the color of the shoes and shoelaces! Good god.. he is such a liar! He made up stuff that I apparently said to make me look like a jackass! Well I know who the ASS is! He is certainly not the truthful one, but rather the ignorant and dishonest one. I'd certainly like to pay him a visit one day and report back of how much of a PUNK RENT-A-COP he is! Everyone who has read this post please advise to everyone you know about MARTIN GANZEL.....if that is really his name!

Yo Julie, regarding the Rudy Project Sunglasses……getinthesufferzone
Aug 2, 2002 6:24 AM
Are they new?

Are they black?

If I wear them, will people mistake me for Jan Ulrich or Levi Leipheimer ?

What if I scratch a lens?

Dang it, my pussy hurts AGAIN !
A couple more questions, Miss Juliegetinthesufferzone
Aug 2, 2002 6:40 AM
If I brake the frame, can I sue Mr.Rudy and win?

Who the hell is this Rudy character anyway. I didn't think Rudy was an Italian name.

Do you think that I may have a yeast infection...down there?
Aug 2, 2002 9:22 AM
:) Looks like Martin snakeboy Ganzel is busy treating himself down there these days because he hasn't responded. Oh yea, he must be busy with his sponsors (Monistat, yeast infection medicine)! Who is the pussy now?

I lost my Pussy ! ! !

She has jet-black hair that is well trimmed so that I can put a thong on her at the beach.

She's wearing Rudy Project Ekynox sunglasses with white pearl frames and smoke lenses.

She struts like John Travolta and I think she's out looking for some male companionship.

She answers to the name......"Juice".

Please issue an A.P.B. and have dispatch flash a message on the monitors in all the squad cars stating-

$5,000 REE-ward for Pussy Juice - see M. Ganzel !

Thanks. I love my cat!

getinthesufferzone? what the hell is that? anytime you or your little friend, maggiefan, are in chicago you let me know and we'll meet. i'm tired of you geeks bad mouthing me on this forum. i think we can settle this better in person. don't you think?

How 'bout that badge # you sack of shit? Yeah, we could meet somewhere in Chicago...which precinct or rent-a-cop office and/or Wal-Mart security office?
Good to hear from you Snakes !getinthesufferzone
Aug 5, 2002 9:09 AM
Geez, I thought that someone capped you in the 7th district, what with not hearing from you for awhile!

In regards to your query, I AM in the Chicago area (at least for the time being). I thought that I had previously posted that somewhere earlier. I work at 1401 South Maybrook Drive in Maywood. You being a pole-lease officer - that should ring a resounding bell of recognition, if not well... get back to that K-Mart security job, as Maggiefan says.

In my experience, in many disputes that arise here, the actual truth in regards to the circumstances lies somewhere in between the claims of the two involved parties and in this case, the scales of justice tip more toward Maggiefan's favor.

This thread would have ended long time ago if you hadn't insulted our intelligence by claiming to be a pole-lease officer and by using the sexist phrase "My pussy hurts" (which I'm sure offended jtolleson and many of our other female viewers)....unless of course you were referring to the fact that Maggiefan's feline friend was sick!

Nevertheless, you don't seem to be a dishonest rogue, just another misguided soul that does not live up to his word in regards to a sale and prefers to take the easy way out.

Therefore, you, like Steve Martin (scroll down to around June 4) take the "Ducman of the Month" award.

Don't feel too bad because without guys like you, this forum would truly be the most boring place on earth to surf to.

To everyone in the peanut gallery, if I seem too soft on Snakes at this time, please forgive me because I am feeling fine because I did good at dem races dis past weekend.
Oh, I forgot to answer your original questiongetinthesufferzone
Aug 5, 2002 10:51 AM
getinthesufferzone? what the hell is that?

When I'm doing training rides with my XC race geek friends and somebody is lagging behind we often shout out to him/her to "get in the suffer zone" because we don't want them to fall off the back due to a lack of effort.

For guys like you.. that welch out on deals for a matter of convenience after they have already given their word to do the deal - you can think of that handle as what you're going to have to deal with when you cross swords with other honest traders on this forum.

So, I could care less if you're tired of me bad mouthing you - all I was doing was asking you questions anyway. If that's too difficult for you to comprehend then have your Commander explain it to you.

Now I've got to go because my life is real busy now.. what with setting up that next star trek convention ! ! !

Toodles ! Oh, and my cat, Juice was just found in the Harrison district, thanks for asking!
Aug 4, 2002 7:42 PM
first of all for anyone who is reading this crap, julie is my roommate and we share the computer and the email address. secondly, don't you geeks have a dungeons and dragons meeting to attend or some sort of star trek convention to set up. i can't believe you spend all this time trying to bad mouth me to other people over a sale i decided to give to someone else. get a life. and lastly, i have never screwed over anyone who has bought something from me. if you'd like references from some of them before you buy than all you have to do is ask...
Aug 5, 2002 11:48 AM
I thought I was back a couple of years ago with the fights and name calling. I know nothing about snakes' line of work but I do know that it is not uncommon to get jerked around by a buyer on sending money. So I actually don't particularly blame snakes for wanting cash in hand. I have had similar experiences and the money never came and the buyer sounded every bit as sincere as maggiefan.

But I think this one has been beaten to death and more. The name calling is going to get the forum shut down again which isn't going to help. Time to move on.
Geez Brucegetinthesufferzone
Aug 5, 2002 3:28 PM
You're always such a kill-joy. I think that you may be getting too mellow in your old ...err...seasoned age. Just when the little rug-rat was challenging me and Maggiefan to a mano-o-mano! Maybe he would have actually shown up with his pole-lease-issue water pistol and we could see whose was bigger!

You, of all people should know that Snakes ethics as a bidness man are pathetic and once you give your word to a deal - you don't change it because its more convenient to take another path. Hell, he shouldn't have said that he would take the money order to BEGIN with... or he should have given Maggiefan a time limit on when he expected to receive the money order in his hand. NO excuses!

Nevertheless, out of deference to you and the great polluted state of Jersey, I will cease and desist.

How's the wife's hip?

Are you coming to Huntington Beach this winter?
Geez Brucered_ellsworth
Aug 6, 2002 6:52 AM
But not everyone is ethical nor to they have the financial reserves to take a hit if the buyer does not come through. It is a hard issue. When I sell I have already bought the toy to replace it. I am far from wealthy but usually the sale of the item is not a necessity so I cannot say what snakes' motive were. It just seemed that Maggiefan was really into whether he could resell the second pair and wanted the list of contacts if the shoes did not fit. This delayed the sale and would have put up a bright yellow light with me.

The great state of NJ is plugging along. It surely has been hot. Last Sunday I needed gills rather than lungs to make the climbs.

No Huntington Beach this year, a second trip to Moab is on the docket in November.

Lois is fine. Thank you for asking. She was born to ride the Id. She has mastered the Z-1 ECC lockout and just kicked my rear up the rocks last night. Just love it.
Hey Red....Maggiefan
Aug 6, 2002 2:53 PM
I never asked for the list of contacts to sell the shoes that wouldn't have worked for me. You assumed that is what I would have done and that is absolutely incorrect. Also, there was no delay of the sale as I was going to send punk ass snakes a money order the next day! Your entitled to your opinion, but your ASSUMPTIONS are totally incorrect.
Hey Red....red_ellsworth
Aug 7, 2002 9:33 AM
My apologies then. I read your e-mails incorrectly. Again, I have no axe to grind with anyone, but it is easy to see where trades go sour and someone pushes the wrong hot button. MTBR is a real caveat emptor zone. My original statement to you still stands though, there are some really good traders out there who will sell you what you want at the price you want. But sometimes it is not today.

Again, I feel badly that you got screwed, I personally would not do it to you, but understand why it can happen. It has happened to me, I accept it as part of the game. You still have your money so you lost nothing except the deal, and you got aggravated. But, from my perspective, worse things can happen and you should not let this get to you. It is much better to ride.

Well, Bruce....personallygetinthesufferzone
Aug 7, 2002 11:31 AM
I think that this represents Maggiefan's way to gain retribution for the way he was treated - which I believe he is entitled to - as he has no other recourse.

Let's face it. If Maggiefan had won the shoes on an E-bay auction and Snakes pulled the same behavior - Snakes would have received a negative feedback in a flash and that would have become a permanent part of his record for all future buyers to see.
Well, Bruce....personallyred_ellsworth
Aug 8, 2002 6:36 AM
This is probably an incorrect use of the forum but here goes. There is no question that blasting snakes is an OK thing to do if it makes maggiefan feel better. It is just hard for me personally to get caught up over a pair (2) of shoes where no money was lost.

In my job (CFO) I write the checks to allieviate human misery. We are a in a cachment area that was affected heavily by 911. The newspapers do not do adequate justice to the ripple effect on people. I am glad I ride because it is the only way I can get rid of some of the frustrations of the job. There is just not enough money to help because so many people do not meet the direct criteria for aid and yet have to deal with what happened.

There are a lot of people like me who are close to retirement whose investments (very modest on my part) have been wiped out by 911/accounting fraud/general excesses of the 90s. I still have some time to make some of it up. Others are up the creek.

I could go on and on at what I see every day, but I will spare the details. So we get out to ride for 2 hours until we can't see the rocks anymore. It is just very hard to get worked up over a lost sale. My best to Maggiefan and even to snakes. It is no fun to be "posted." But life goes on. And we have to deal with it. Thanks for the comments.

BTW I am 60 but will turn 21 on my next birthday.
C'mon Bruce, don't be so grimgetinthesufferzone
Aug 8, 2002 12:42 PM
In another 10 years you'll probably make back almost everything that you originally invested - unless of course you sold at a loss.

And the sh*t was hitting the fan (recession) long before 9/11 and the "enlightened" accounting schemes-which just exacerbated the problem. People just didn't see it coming.

You are another example of how riding is almost a catharsis to people - why its so much more than a simply a pastime or sport. And to some pros (i.e. L. Armstrong) - its become much more than just a job or profession like it was in the beginning.

That is why it should be held in a special reverence and anyone that manipulates it by underhanded trading practices (whether buyer or seller) deserves all the grilling that comes to pass.

Get in the suffer zone, ride HARD and you'll live LONG enough to eventually reap back everything that you lost.

Hey Bruce....Maggiefan
Aug 8, 2002 4:50 PM
it wasn't the fact that it was just 2 pairs of shoes, but rather that time was wasted talking to that FOOL and more importantly, that a verbal agreement was broken. Maybe here on road bike review there should be a place where buyers and sellers can leave transaction feedbacks. My other hobby is the wonderful world of audiophile neurosis. On a particular well known audio web site, I have 18/18 postive feedback's for transactions and have had only great experiences. On a sister audio web site to this one, there are trailer trash people like MARTIN GANZEL lurking so BEWARE! I too realize how the market is as I'm a investor in the stock market. One of my major stocks has been from a high of around 109. a couple of years ago to a closing today of around 57 and some change. I'm not really worried as I'm in it for the long term and know the prosperity of the company. Thanks to all for your opinions (with the exception of MARTIN GANZEL'S IGNORANT,TRAILER TRASH DISHONESTY). I especially looked forward to hearing from you getinthesufferzone! I had loads of fun... ;)! The discussion about DICKHEAD MARTIN is a bit old, but I'm open to discuss anything else. Cheers all! Brad

For what its worth...this dipute seems like one that might arise from excess caffeination. I have bought items from folks on this board and there is always some risk involved. If you want instant service and immediate customer service, then go to a store or a web-retailer. If you wanna try to save a few dollars, come here and take your chances. Maggiefan, you had a deal for a deal, it didn't work out, you lost no money...lighten up and move on. As to bias, yes perhaps, I have some. I have bought successfully from Marty Ganzel and would do so again...
