Payment recommendations?Colorado Kurt

I'm contemplating buying a frame set from the classifieds. I've seen tons of complaints of people getting stiffed from the "send a money order and I'll ship the bike" routine. Does anyone have a recommendation for protecting the buyer and seller equally?

do not make mistake of paying for COD. You cannot, repeat cannot, open package until it is paid for. UPS, USPS, will NOT refund money if you don't like what is inside. You could get a box of rocks for all you know and to add insult you are out COD charges, too. In my opinion the safest thing to do is pay with USPS Postal Money Order. If you don't see product they have committed mail fraud and USPS Postal Inspectors will get involved.

I'm wanting to purchase a wheelset from a guy in Arizona and want them shipped to L.A. How does the USPS Postal Money Order work exactly? I've never bought anything online before and I'm a bit nervous about it. Do you get to inspect the product at the door when it arrives? And who sets up the delivery, the seller or the buyer?
