Buyer 1st thing ask the seller for a phone number/address,
and verify it call them, and check for validity of the address. (Buyer do your homework) in most cases you can call
the township of the seller and file internet fraud through
the local authorities.
Ask the seller to send the merchandise C.O.D, this way you
are guaranteed to get your product(s). If the seller is not willing to send product COD forget the sale.
Seller be honest with the condition of your product, do not exagerate condition, example any frame with a dent is not excellent condition, anything ridden or used for even a little is no longer new.

It is always amazing to me how many people think cod protects them. First of all, you can be getting a box of rocks. Secondly, UPS doesn't stand around and let you inspect goods while they wait. You have to pay them first, before they release package in your possession. A waste of shipping charges.

One more tip on COD shipping.. When using UPS..

If you check off the box that indicates 'cash only' you are not protected.. I did this and the UPS delivery person accepted personal checks on two different occasions.. the situation with the post office is not better.. they will not guarantee or specify to the receiver of the package what type of funds they need.

I need to ask Browns 110.. If you don't use COD what foolproof method is there?? As far as I see there is none.

You are right. UPS and Post Office will/ can accept personal checks. There is no foolproof guarantee. Just don't waste more money on COD.

I disagree with the above comments on COD.
this just checks if the shipper is willing to do it.
If they are most likely they are credible.
If not forget them.
