| bye bye old forums. | Arnold Zefal Feb 9, 2004 5:00 PM | | this was cool place to hang out and eat lunch at my desk or take a break from work. entertaining most of the time and informative every once in awhile. but the new forums IMO would be for the die-hards only. no way to sum up a thread from the outset, and that's what was great about this format. it was easy to avoid the obvious junk postings. but you know I got through most of my life without any internet bicycle forums and I'm pretty sure I can get through the rest without one to. no hard feelings, change is goin' come no matter what but I don't have to change with it. anyway, this way I can go back to reading Velonews more througholy and maybe be able to keep up with my wife on pro racing news. cheers all. |
| Will the last person to post please turn out the lights? | The Walrus Feb 9, 2004 5:58 PM | | I'm not sure I'm a "die-hard", but I'm learning to use the new board, warts and all, because I've been on RBR long enough to enjoy the people here. Well, most of them. Sure, I could survive without it, but the changes aren't so odious that I'll need to give it up. |
