| Front fender questions | vibiker Feb 5, 2004 9:19 AM | | Does a front fender that only extends to the vertical line of the axle truely protect?
If not, does anyone make a fuller front fender?
Thanks |

The front of the fender, in front of the fork, will do a fine job protecting you from the spray unless you are really moving. Then it may come back to hit you as on long downhills where you get up in speed.
I have seen people actually put a full rear fender on the front which is a bit overkill.
I ride to work most mornings and the real beauty of the fenders is keeping my bike 10 times cleaner then without fenders. Keeps my downtube, BB, seattube, brakes, etc much cleaner so I am not whiping it down each evening.
