Numbness in hands and feet...(3 posts)

Numbness in hands and feet...FL_Rider

I am kinda of new to road riding and I am dialing in my fit now.

First off I am getting numbness in my hands, mainly right the right hand. Any suggestions? Is it fit or stem length?
I am going from a 100mm to a 90mm stem after using the fit guide on wrenchscience.com

Now I am also getting numbness in my feet. I think this is due to the cleat placement.
I am using Sidi Titan shoes with Shimano SPD-SL Pedals.
I know the cleat should be at the ball of you foot. Any idea what number that might be on the bottom of the sole?
I have them on #4 right now but I really can't tell where it feels on the bottom of my foot/ Is there a wat to measure properly?

Thanks!

I'm new to road biking too, I also changed the stem to 90mm and also ordered a 110 degree riser bar to ease my sore lower back. I adjusted the saddle forward. I think you just have to get use to the body geometry of a road bike. I often switch hand positions on the handlebar to offset my numbness.

Get some good glove one with the gel or padding.

if your saddle points down too much you'd get numb hands. Try to level it, also use thicker gloves, gel bar tape.
