|Just bought an issue of Road Magazine. it was interesting and had big pictures.
Interesting short interview type articles.
One with a guy who lived in Italy. Apparently, 70% are doing drugs, etc. to become pro before 25.
And Millar on his year.
It was pretty good, but some of the language wasn't that great. Could be classier about strip clubs, etc. but not bad for a new magazine(i think).
Anyone have thoughts on Asphalt?

|I like Asphalt. Nice writing and nicely done. It's for the "everyday cyclist", so not much on the racing side if you're looking for that. Decent reviews and they're trying to "equal things out" by standardizing tires, wheels, so the variables are reduced between bikes.
My only gripes are it's a quarterly and I keep looking for the next issue. It's a little on the high side too, but that's for the printing they use. Don't know how they'll survive though if they keep it as a quarterly and perfect bound printing (which looks really nice, BTW).
Grab a back issue to check it out. I'll see if I renew after I've received all 4 of my year subscription.

|Got the new issue (February/March) yesterday, though I haven't really dug into it yet. I like the pics, the road focus, and the general feel. I haven't read much of it (until I do some cooking tonight, it's my bus magazine (@#$%ing snow!)).
I also got the last issue as well. So far, mostly reviews and interviews. I'll be curious to see what it's like once some racing happens.
Anyone remember Winning: Bicycle Racing Illustrated magazine? That was a favorite back in college.
