04 vs 03 5900?andy02

So from what I have heard the real change from 03 to 04 is the change from 120 to 110 carbon tubes. Of course the lugs have always been 110 in the 5900. So has anybody who has ridden both the 03 and 04 tell me if their is a real change in ride feel? Is the 04 stiff compared to the 03?

I can say, I am really impressed with the 04 model.

is that only the lugs are made by Trek. The tubes are sourced from a firm in Salt Lake City.

Not sure...they only said in Salt Lake. I think everyone had assumed (with good reason) that they made tubes too. They really kept that news pretty quiet

I'm from SLC. Just a little home town pride. Go Utes!

The 03 was made of 110 carbon. The difference is the way that the carbon is layered in the lugs and tubes to eliminate some weight. I haven't had a chance to ride the 04.
