Okay, it's my-own-horn-tooting-time: I've officially been anthologized. No, not euthanized, anthologized. Yes, a piece of biking nonsense that I penned a while back is appearing in an collection of stories, poems, and artwork called "Traffic Life".

I'm in ridiculously good company here -- Ray Bradbury, Harlan Ellison, and some wonderful CAR-toons by Andy Singer. And in an unfortunate lapse of taste, my contribution is the first frickin' piece in the book.

Big chunks of the book are available for your perusal on-line -- Surf around...the website isn't completely there yet, and it is a first effort by small independent publisher, but I think that the project is pretty dang cool...

and I'll say it again: Nice piece of writing amigo. And to think it all happened 30 minutes after showing me the new ride. Wow. There is a lesson here somewhere...someone help me find it.
How's my bike?ms

Been there, said that, too. If you're really hurt, you usually don't have to ask -- there appears to be an inverse relationship between how hurt the cyclist is after a crash and how banged up the bike is. But, it is the first question that all of us ask -- and the first question that all of my cycling buddies asked when they saw me at the LBS with my arm in a sling and bandages on my arms and legs.

Great piece. Thanks for posting it.
Just read it53T

That is really good. I can hear God's voice talking to you. At the end I wanted to read more, always a good sign.
