|Checkout the sales/closeouts at Colorado Cyclist. If you wear a size 40 or 40.5, they have Shimano R150 and R214 for $59.99 and $79.99, respectively. These are Shimano's top of the line road shoes from last year.|

|I have both the Vagabond Road and the Vortex Road. The fit is fantastic for both. The vagabonds are heavier and they have an irrating interior piece that makes then harder to put on quickly. The Vortex lack that piece.
I've ridden the Vagabonds on several centuries and they were fine. I've also had them out in several torrential rainstorms - they soak through, but when they dry out they seem to retain their shape and fit OK. Over a year they've stretched a bit, but I just take that up with the Velcro straps.
For $75 (sometimes less) I think they're a fine shoe. However, I do like the light feel and the ease of getting into the Vortex. I suspect the Vapors would be even nicer. Worth the extra money? Depends on your budget.
